BOOK REVIEW: I Can Only Draw Worms

BOOK REVIEW: I Can Only Draw Worms

I Can Only Draw Worms.jpg

Like most people, I'm a big fan of humorous picture books. This week I had the chance to review a funny, quirky, clever story written and illustrated by UK creator Will Mabbitt, and published by Puffin Books.

I Can Only Draw Worms features, as you might guess, worms only throughout the story (because the creator says he can't draw anything else). Kids will be giggling at the descriptions of these various worms and what they get up to. Adults, too, will find plenty to enjoy in this story that begs to be read aloud over and over again.

I love that the story also will get kids thinking about artwork and how stories are created and, hopefully, not being afraid to spend more time doing their own artwork too - even if they can only draw worms.

Check out my full review of this memorable picture book over at the Just Write for Kids Australia blog.
